To work in partnership with youth and their families, seeking to increase their understanding of life choices available to them including a personal commitment for renewed dignity and self-esteem.

Our History

For over 30 Years, Barrio Action Youth & Family Center has served residents of El Sereno in Northeast Los Angeles with quality, results-oriented programs. We work with people of all ages, with a special emphasis on helping high-risk and at-risk youth, young adults and their families. Since 1977, we have provided more than 20,000 youth and families the tools to:

• Create and sustain a healthy and nurturing family life;
• Establish a commitment to education Developed and improve their  social skills; and
• Retaining their dignity and reinforce their self-esteem.
